We were so very sorry to hear of Snoopy’s passing. I still hear him and his dad at station 7 taking care of the safety of the drivers. His voice was so familiar and I knew when we heard something from him it was noteworthy. He gave us weather reports from turn 3 so those of us on the frontstretch knew what was coming. We will all have a great race in heaven with our fellow observers one day.

Our deepest sympathy is extended. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. We will miss Bob (Snoopy) but we will never forget him. Although he’s departed we’ll probably still get an update or two on the radio from turn 3. And as always, it will be a solid and accurate report. May God bless you Snoop and your family that you’ve temporarily left behind. God Speed!

When I first started as an observer Snoopy was one of the first ones I was fortunate to have teach me the “ropes”. His knowledge and professionalism was first rate. His attention to detail when providing information on the track and drivers was “spot on”. My deepest condolences to his family. He will be missed.

Snoopy- You were always a friend and will be missed more than you knew. You were a good observer, and always ready with a hug or a joke. We wore a lot of racetrack dirt together over the years, but it bonded the whole crew together. I know you, my dad, and the rest of the guys are at that big racetrack in the sky. I love and miss all of you. – Raine

Dad,
I feel like you were taken from us way to soon, and I’m not ready to say good-bye to you so soon. I feel we’ve gotten closer in the past five years and stayed in contact consistantly finally. I didn’t get a chance to see you near enough growing up. I will, however, remeber all those years at the track and sitting right behind you watching you work. I know my love for racing came from your introduction early on( I think I was about 5yrs. old). Thanks for all the great memories. I love you!
Your oldest daughter,
Traci Michelle

When Snoopy passed away Mary & me were on vacation in Honolulu so we were not able to be present for any services which saddened us greatly. I remember Bob for our IRL trips to Motegi Japan which were very interesting to say the least. On our first trip I remember him ordering a pizza which arrived and did not look like or taste like what we are used to. He thought there was some kind of sea food in it and refused to eat THAT BAIT. THat became his trade mark statement everywhere we went each and every year. He would say you guys are just trying to feed me BAIT. After the first couple of years we started eating most of our meals at the track, so that took away some of the adventure, however every chance we got we would remind him of THE BAIT just to keep him on his toes. He took ir all pretty well and just indulged us for our mischief every now and then. Snoopy is greatly missed and will be forever our OBSERVER who went to OBSERVER HEAVEN! Thank You!

To my Dad,
It’s been one year since I last talked to you. I miss your smile, your laugh, and your odd since of humor which I inherited.
The six years before you died, we had gotten closer than we had ever been before. I’m so greatful for that time. Your picture of you on your boat, along with a plaque I gave you sit on my bookshelf, and I look at it everyday, knowing your smiling at me. I miss you. I love you!
My daughter, Traci Michelle
